For more than 20 years, Women for Afghan Women (WAW) has grown from a small network of volunteers to become the largest women’s organization in Afghanistan, serving over 8,000 clients a year. WAW provides life-changing services, education, and vocational training for women and girls across Afghanistan and in the U.S., who have endured human rights violations. Join us today as we talk to Najia Nasim, the Executive Director, and Kevin Schumacher, the Deputy Executive Director, as they share with us their organizations efforts, challenges, and the realities of what they are currently facing in Afghanistan and serving refugees in the U.S. and around the world.
